Service Maintenance & Reminders

Spring

Test smoke alarms and change batteries every 6 months
Test and reset GFI outlets inside and outside of house
Change furnace filter
Operate air conditioning system if Required, and service if needed
Turn Humidifier to Summer
Drain Water heater to remove sediment from the bottom of heater as per Manufactures instructions
Inspect grout around tile floor and touch up as required
Wash windows and screens, ensure Drainage holes on outside of windows clear of debris
Check Garage overhead door tracks tighten bolts as required, Refer to manufacturers tips for adjustments and call professionals to service if required
Clean gutters and ensure splash blocks are positioned to allow water to drain away from foundation
Check perimeter of house for settling and fill as required to create positive drainage

Shut down air conditioning system if Required, cover outside condensing unit
adjust and replace weather stripping on all exterior doors as required.
Check the fit of the door and make adjustments as needed
Shut outside water taps off, shut valve off supplying water to outside faucets.
Check Garage overhead door tracks tighten bolts as required, Refer to manufacturers tips for adjustments and call professionals to service if required
Clean gutters and ensure splash blocks are positioned to allow water to drain away from foundation
Check perimeter of house for settling and fill as required to create positive drainage
after snow fall clear all snow from downspouts
clean snow off concrete and avoid using De-icing agents with damaging salts on concrete
Be sure to keep air intake and exhaust vents for high efficient furnaces clear of snow and ice through out winter season
